THIS MADE THE CUT BECAUSE
A distillery dreamt up by friends while in a sauna, Kyrö (Khy-rhu - phonetic pronunciation) crafts spirits that are a perfect interpretation of their Nordic landscape, and proudly only use Finnish Rye. When visiting the distillery this 100% malted rye cask was a favourite; a great sipper perhaps while also in a sauna!
PAIRING SUGGESTIONS
With those peach tarte tatin notes this is a summer night whisky! Pair with a juicy beer and soak in those last rays of sun. We love it with a JUBEL Peach Lager or a Tiny Rebel Clwb Tropica.
OTHER COOL THINGS ABOUT THIS WHISKY
Matured in New American Oak. Most of their Rye whiskies have an element of New American Oak in their cask matrix, as that style of wood with its vanilla-spice notes lends itself so well to the malted rye spirit they distil. We’re singling that out in this bottling, with the New American Oak giving this fresh, peachy note to the final whisky.
